RELIGIOUS IN ATLANTIC CANADA (RAC)

CND

The former Atlantic Formation Conference (AFC) has undergone a “renovation.” Recent conferences focused on reflection and needs assessment. So we welcome the Religious in Atlantic Canada. “The purpose of our group is to be an Atlantic network and support, fostering ongoing development and community life, with a particular focus for members who have entered since Vatican II.” All Sisters welcome.

This year's conference is May 17‐19th, 2013 at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, NS, and the theme is Leading from Within: Authentic Leadership in Church, Religious Community and World.

Each of us leads whenever we find the courage to act and speak into the world the vision/wisdom that is planted deep within us. During this event we will take time for personal reflection, small group and full circle discussions, using poetry, song, video and time outside. In this context we will consider the leadership that is authentically ours, and the courage and next steps we need to take in order to offer our leadership in our various religious communities and world settings. Becky McKenna, PhD, CND will use her experience as an educator from elementary school to university settings, a spiritual guide and retreat director to guide our time together.
