News from Innisfail

Marie Clarkin, CND

As a chaplain of Saint Marguerite School in Innisfail, one of my ministries is to participate in the distribution of the Bibles for the grade four students. The Red Deer Catholic School District gathers all the grade four students for a liturgical celebration and they number about five hundred students. This picture is taken outside Saint Mary's Church. We celebrate all the liturgical seasons in our church and school. Presently our school is under renovations and when completed we will have a chapel in our school. Each first Thursday of the month we also celebrate Eucharist at 9:15 for PreK-5 and 10:30 Grades 6-9. Another of my ministries is to have one class per month to lead the different ministries. Our school has grown. In 2004 we began with 68 students. Now we have 305 and a waiting list.
