Marguerite Bourgeoys 400th Anniversary Retreat
Sixteen sisters and associates responded to Sisters Jo, Sheila and Maura’s invitation to pray the 400th Retreat together. We gathered on four Monday mornings and shared our personal reflections on the wonderful and inspiring material: In the Garden of Our Common Home with Marguerite. During our last gathering this past Monday, we were asked for a word that has evoked within us during our shared retreat experience. The word cloud is a collection of what surfaced and a glimpse into the richness of the group. May Marguerite continue to inspire, guide and unite us during this year of uncertainty!
INTERNATIONALITY-INTERCULTURALITY PRAYER 2020
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS PILGRIM
AND A MIGRANT, REFUGEE, DISPLACED AND MOBILE MARGUERITE BOURGEOYS
As Jesus taught, in the footsteps of Mary our Teacher, and as experienced by so many people in the world who are Migrants, Refugees, Displaced, Mobile, 400 years after the birth of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys we celebrate the joy of living and being pilgrims for life; pilgrims in our way of living and celebrating our faith; and pilgrims accompanying humanity, a humanity that does not stop moving forward in search of meaning, food, shelter, work, health, love, peace, justice, security, liberty, truth, God.
On November 15, sisters and associates in West Haven Connecticut had a prayer service reflecting on care for our Common Home.
