“Nothing is inherently and invincibly young except spirit, and spirit can enter a human being perhaps better in the quiet of old age and swell there more undisturbed than in the turmoil of adventure.”  George Santayana

Andrus Update: The sisters at Andrus welcomed the members of the General Conference on Monday, June 8th, for Mass and a delicious dinner. Following the dinner they gave the visitors tours of Andrus. As if that wasn't enough, later in the afternoon, they gathered to celebrate Sr. Dorothy O'Brien's birthday. The next day, June 9th, the sisters again gathered to wish Dorothy well as she moved to Lourdes Health Care in Wilton. Let us remember Dorothy in prayer as she settles into her new mission. Please also keep in prayer, Sr. Marie Buckley who will be moving to Andrus on June 12th, and for the Congregation of Notre Dame community there who will be welcoming her.

Sister Josephine Badali presented Sister Carolyn Kinnamon with her Jubilee pin. Sister Carolyn was unable to attend the Montreal celebration in May.

Book Launch

I am pleased to invite you to the launch of my book entitled Rebel Priest in Time of Tyrants Mission to Haiti, Ecuador and Chile, with a Foreword by Miguel d'Escoto, M.M. As a missionary, I witnessed close up the oppression and poverty in Haiti, Ecuador, and Chile where dictators and predatory imperialists ruled and I participated actively in the birth of a Church of the poor.

The launch will take place on Wednesday, June 10, at 5:30 pm at the Congrégation Notre-Dame, 2300, rue Sherbrooke Ouest (corner of Atwater). Welcome to all.

Warmest regards,

Claude Lacaille, p.m.é.
