U.S. CND’s WELCOME JULIE DIBONA
For all CND’s, January 12th was a special blessing. In
Oklahoma City, we felt twice blessed as we celebrated and proclaimed Julie
DiBona’s reception as a Candidate of the Congregation.
Julie is a graduate of Iona College, New York. She has volunteered
at Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, and is now
teaching in a parish school near Oklahoma City through Notre Dame
University’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) teacher-preparation
program.
A
video of Marguerite’s life helped Julie’s ACE friends and co-workers
get to know the women whose call to holiness still stirs a loving heart.
Our prayer included our good wishes for Julie along with reflections on
particular strengths she has that will serve her well in community life. A
light supper followed the prayer.
The phone rang a few times that evening and all calls were for
Julie. The community prayers and support for Julie are very much in
evidence. We are grateful in union with Mary that our souls magnify the
Lord in this Millennium Year of Jubilee.
