On September 26, 2000, sisters who are cared for at the
Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Infirmary expressed their solidarity with
the women of the world. Thirty-three sisters in wheel chairs (one of
whom, Sister Émilia, is 99 years old), accompanied by forty-four
volunteers as well as employees and other sisters from the community
and the infirmary, « marched » as far as the nearby school Villa
Maria, where they were received by the director, campus
