February
26, 2001 marked a milestone in the life of Sr. Frances McManus and a
new moment in the history of the CND in the United States. Fifty CND
sisters and CND Alumnae gathered to celebrate "the faithful
witness she has been to all of us of God's love and
graciousness" for 100 years! The celebration took place at a
Eucharist and birthday dinner in Wilton, Connecticut, mother house
of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Just a few months ago, Sr.
Frances and several other CNDs began living there in Lourdes Center,
a cooperative care facility for School Sisters and CNDs.
