"With
God we create the future in dialogue with the world"
On Saturday, January 12, 2002
twenty-seven associates and sisters from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal
gathered at Our Lady of Bon Secours Chapel to reflect on one aspect of
our chapter theme1:
"Urgency, Passion, Daring in
right relationships."
The day opened with a prayerful cosmic walk
through the billions of years of creation. So situated, Sheila Sullivan,
cnd explained the paradigm shift from Kingdom to Kindom as an entry to
eco-spirituality with implications for right relationships -
relationships with self, others, Church, society and the cosmos. In the
afternoon, Rosemary Cianciolo, cnd shared her heartfelt and penetrating
questions about the practical costs of living in right relationship and
the possible support our mutuality might provide. Lively discussion and
quiet reflection punctuated the day. Prayerful time in the chapel,
Marguerite Bourgeoy’s True Portrait Room, as well as the archeological
site was made possible by Joyce Roberts, cnd.
The day concluded with the Eucharistic
celebration of the feast of St. Marguerite. Bishop, priests, sisters,
associates and friends of Marguerite joined in communion to remember and
to reaffirm our baptismal vows ~ creation expands, the mission goes
forth anew.
1. The CND General
Chapter was held in Montreal from July 23 to August 9, 2001.
