A star is born

Friday, May 3, 2002, 4:30 p.m. and the phone rings. It is Father Tom Rosica, Executive Director of WYD asking if he can suggest my name to CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) as a guest for their anchorperson. "Sure" said I, never expecting to hear from CBC again.
