Festival
at la Maison Saint-Gabriel
Come and join in the
Harvest Festival at la Maison Saint-Gabriel
on September 1st, 2002. A lot of activities will take place under
the themes of pleasure and abundance!
The day will start at 11:00 a.m., with a
concert performed by the musicians of the Ensemble Claude-Gervaise
followed by:

The harvest blessing, with
Marguerite Bourgeoys, Sieur de Maisonneuve and other
historic personalities;

the Auction with priceless Ubert
Sanspré, also known as Beloeil;
-
and demonstrations by the Olde 78th
Fraser Highlanders from Saint-Hélène Island's Stewart
Museum, to the sound of their fantastic bagpipes.
At 1:00 p.m, horticulturist Thérèse Romer
will give a conference in the garden entitled: Shrubs and
Small Fruits in New France
In the afternoon, as every Sunday during summer, things will
be going full swing with Catherine Crolo's Theater, music in the
garden by the Ensemble Claude-Gervaise, and amusing stories by fur
trader Ti-Jean de La Rochelle. |
