TOPIC:
Y2K: HOLDING BREATH...WAITING TO EXHALE
In this issue of DIALOGUE, our contributors invite us to refocus
the coming of the new millennium with its multifaceted dimensions :
- its doom and gloom for the future and its hope for new
beginnings,
- its predictions of technological crashes and its promise of
living the present moment. "Fear not...",
- its temptation for addictive isolation and its challenge for
the treasuring of relationships,
- its loss of identity in the global village and its
solidarity with the poor, the oppressed, the excluded,
In a stance of both goodbye and hello, we are invited on the
pilgrim journey into the wilderness of the unknown to find a new and
powerful meaning in Y2K. In a spirit of balance, lucidity, prevention
and prudence, we ask pardon, we give thanks.
