What is La Parolière?

A community organization directed by women . . .

•  including CND sisters Madeleine Trépanier and Béatrice Anctil and associate Mrs Claire Morneau.

. . . for women

• especially those facing poverty, loneliness, violence and psychological distress.

A place of welcome, listening and support for those

• seeking to grow personally and to share with others on the same journey;
• going through a difficult time: bereavement, divorce, leaving of children, loss of employment, etc.
• who want to take an active part in the community and participate in corporate action.

We hope to foster women's independence by:

• encouraging women to take responsibility for themselves;
• providing information through workshops, support groups, cafés-rencontres, etc.
• as well as offering individual assistance;
• promoting and defending women's rights to autonomy and equality.

At La Parolière we listen to women's needs and provide them with quality personalized services at low cost. In this way we are living out Marguerite Bourgeoy's mission of liberating education!
