Mission
The Women's Centre of Montréal is
one of the oldest and most active women's centres in Canada. It is
a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women help
themselves toward greater autonomy and self-esteem through:
- educational and vocational
training, information, counseling and referral services.
- communicating women's concerns
to the public and acting as a catalyst for change regarding
women's issues.

Our
programs:
With our staff of 50 and more than
300 volunteers, we are tuned in to women’s specific needs, such
as:
- Vocational counseling and job
placement in traditional and non-traditional fields;
- Job training;
- Services to newly arrived
immigrant women and their families, and a twinning program;
- Legal information, psychosocial
counseling and a court accompaniment service;
- Affordable educational
programs;
- Self-help and support groups
for incest survivors and victims of violence;
- Collective kitchens;
- Emergency food and clothing
assistance;
- Christmas baskets.
