Do
you know Normandy? Of course, it’s the name of a well-known
region in France, but we also have one in Montmagny. Sisters of
the Congregation of Notre Dame have been working here among the
poor for a long time.
I
am Gemma Perreault, CND. In my own way, I am continuing the CND
tradition, trying to help the children and adults of this area
find a better quality of life:

with
another woman of the area I help little children from 2 to 5 learn
how to work and play in groups, discovering the joy of learning,
risking and succeeding. |

|
I
teach older girls how to cook and how to balance their diet. You
should see how proud they are to prepare economic and tasty meals
they can share with their families! |
|
|
I do
sewing and crafts with women, who learn patience as they sew and
express their creativity with handicrafts. |
If Marguerite Bourgeoys were to come at
Montmagny, I would be happy to bring her to Normandy, where she
would meet wonderful people willing to learn and develop their
full potential.
