You are in the Little House of the Sun Children ("La Petite Maison des Enfants Soleil»).

We have been welcoming the children of an underprivileged district in South-Central Montreal since October 1991. This is an area at high risk of affective distress for the children, because of family violence, violence in the streets, alcoholism, drugs and prostitution.

Six days a week, morning, noon and night, we open our doors to 90 children between the ages of 6 and 15. We receive them in small groups so that they may feel "at home".

Here, the children carry out activities that give them a feeling of self- worth, activities in which they succeed. They can also have a snack or a meal because, for most of them, hunger is a major problem.

On a regular basis, we receive children in choc or in crisis situations who are often left on their own in the streets. We offer the abused or abusive child individual accompaniment.
