For most women, this
life-long process begins by:
"getting to know you" by sharing a cup of coffee, an evening of
prayer, a weekend, experiences of service, ...
- dialoguing with a CND
sister over a period of time before making the decision to apply
- becoming a candidate for 1 to 2 years, integrating
community living and prayer with full-time work
- becoming a novice for 2 years, emphasizing
prayer, theological study, reflection, and participation in the Congregation's
mission.
The sister may then profess temporary vows for up to
9 years before making permanent profession and allowing the journey to continue . . .
The whole process is shaped according to each woman's
needs, gifts and experience, and lived by her and by the Congregation in a spirit of
freedom and mutual responsibility. |
