－本当の自分でいること－ それは勇気のいることです。神さまがいろいろな形で自分に話しかけているのを認めるのは勇気のいることです。勇気を出して、修道生活を知る第一歩を踏み出しましょう。この段階では、一つまたは幾つかの共同体のシスターとの関わり・訪問・質問・継続的な連絡などによって、自分の修道生活への関心が本当に深まりつつあるかどうかを確かめます。まさに自分の本当の道を「さがす人」になります。そして自分が次の段階を希望していることが確認できたら、「神さまは本当に自分に修道生活を望まれているのだろうか？」という唯一の問いに答えるために、共同体生活の体験を希望することが出来ます。
In time, if she finds that she wants to continue her search, she may ask to live in community in pursuit of the answer to only one question: Is this the life God desires for me?
共同体生活の体験を希望するということは、シスターをよく知り、シスターとしての生き方をよく知りたいということです。この段階では、志願者として日々の生活をシスターたちと分かち合いながら、自分を豊かにし、共同体生活・祈りの生活・真の自由への教育の仕事に参加します。暖かな共同体に支えられながら、信仰と価値観を生きることが出来る自分を発見していきます。
Asking to live in community means a woman wants to know, through experience, the Sisters and their way of life. She is now a candidate and shares her daily life with the Sisters while continuing her personal development. She is involved in community life, prayer life and in the work of liberating education. She discovers that, supported by a loving community, she is able to live her faith and values. When she comes to live in the community, she is a candidate and shares her daily life with the Sisters while continuing her personal development. She is involved in community life, prayer and ministry.
修道生活をとおして神さまをもっと知りたいと望む方は、次の段階、すなわち二年間の修練期を希望することが出来ます。この段階では修練者は「シスター（修道女）」として養成担当者の指示のもとで祈りと勉強を続けます。そして養成担当者の助けを受けながら神さまが自分に望まれることを識別します。
If the desire to know God further in religious life continues to grow, she responds to this desire by asking to begin novitiate, a two-year formation period. As a novice, the sister enters into a time of prayer and study under the guidance of a director who continues to help her discern God’s desire for her.
修練期のいろいろな霊的な、また使徒的活動の経験を終えると、修道生活の継続を決定することが出来ます。この段階では、修道誓願宣立を正式に希望し、神さまが自分の生活の中心であること、誓願による修道生活が自分の生き方であることを確かめます。
After a variety of spiritual and apostolic experiences in the novitiate, a novice, in discernment with the Congregation, may ask to become a vowed member of the community.
誓願宣立後も識別は続きます。誓願後7年間は指導者の同伴と助けによって自分の生活における神さまのご意志を認識します。そして神の民の仕事に献身するために自分の内に在る自由を深めます。
このように修道生活への道にはいろいろな段階があります。誰もが唯一無二の存在であるように、一人ひとりのシスターにそれぞれの物語があります。いろいろな旅のかたちがあります。勇気を出し、探検し、旅することを選びましょう。
Elle exerce un discernement, en dialogue continu avec un mentor, pour mieux connaître la volonté de Dieu sur sa vie; elle approfondit sa liberté intérieure pour mieux se dédier à l’œuvre choisie. Dieu l’accompagne!
Cette histoire continue, chaque sœur l’écrit dans ses propres mots… Tant de chapitres restent à écrire!

燭台の上のともし火
「ともし火をともして、それを器で覆い隠したり、寝台の下に置いたりする人はいない。はいって来る人に光が見えるように、燭台の上に置く。」
No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bushel or to put it under a bed. No, it is put on a lamp-stand so that people may see the light when they come in.
